The Campus
Nestled on the banks of the Mississippi River, Cape Girardeau is a small city with a rich history and a lively cultural scene. Originally a trading post, it’s now a bustling hub with a stable economy, great healthcare, and plenty of activities. Our campus occupies more than 40 acres and includes a variety of living options, from single-family cottages and duplexes to assisted living apartments and private or semi-private rooms in our skilled health center. Regardless of where you live on our campus, you’ll enjoy a lifestyle of connections, activities and amenities to make life rich and worry-free.

- Carefree, Independent Retirement Living: All maintenance, landscaping, meals, and activities provided.
- Luxuriously Appointed Residences: Modern cottages, duplexes, and apartments with balconies or patios.
- Onsite Services: Beauty salon, fitness center, therapy pool, lounge, library and a dog park for our furry friends – plus much more.
Assisted Living
- Comfortable Apartments: Private baths and kitchenettes, luxurious common spaces, and delicious meals.
- Onsite Services: Library, fitness classes, beauty salon and transportation to appointments as needed.
Health Center
- Private or Semi-Private Rooms: Community living with comfortable common areas and six dining areas serving six units.
- Additional Services: Onsite beauty salon, therapy room, libraries and transportation to appointments as needed.

On the Lutheran Home campus, the safety and security of our residents is a top priority. We work to provide an environment where people feel comfortable knowing that they are never alone, and can enjoy the peace of mind that should come with retirement.
- 24-hour Medical Care: RN care is available round-the-clock for health-related emergencies.
- 24-hour Security: A secure campus with someone always available to assist in an emergency.
- Social Services: A team of Social Services experts help ensure residents receive the supportive care they need.
- Maintenance Free: A full team of Environmental Services specialists care for the campus and residences, and maintenance requests are addressed quickly.
- Transportation: Need a lift? We’ve got it covered. Transportation to and from appointments, errands and shopping in Cape Girardeau is provided upon request.
